Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Parishad and the teachers association wrote to CM Uddhav Thackeray demanding that they should revoke the 50% attendance SOP which was released for teacher returning with 50% strength.

When the Maharashtra’s unlock guidelines were issued on 14th October, it was mentioned that 50% teaching and non-teaching staff can be called to schools at any time for Online Teaching or tele-counselling or any other related work. The SOP for the same was issued on Thursday.
Shivnath Darade, Maharashtra Rajya Shikshak Parishad said, “Teachers haven’t taken a break since the online classes began in March. The state should have ideally declared a Diwali vacation right now and called teachers to school only after that. The teachers have been able to manage working from home and it makes it easy for them instead of spending hours traveling to the school.”
