“Only if we understand, can we care. Only if we care, we will help. Only if we help, we shall be saved ” – Jane Goodall
Wall of Thoughts: A coin has two sides, so does our mental health. It is not just about focusing on our self, but focusing on those around us. Earlier, when I talked about mental health, I covered aspects of self-reliance, and productivity. Today, when I talk about mental health, I am going to cover aspects of helping one another and being there at the time of need.
Demise of Late Sushant Singh, has left us baffled. Seeing his friends and family unaware of all that he was going through is traumatizing. It is saddling to know, how someone around us maybe going through so much, yet we may have no knowledge about it.
It is important to realize, this happens on a daily. Perhaps, so many people around us are at constant war with their mind, dealing with loneliness, anxiety, depression, fear of missing out and so many other things they may not necessarily discuss.
Although, we cannot heal someone’s problems, we can make sure that they do not have to go through it alone. Sometimes, being there for someone is enough. It is all that a person needs. As social beings, we all long for care and affection. Some are fortunate to have received it, while others are not.
Life is not easy. We all encounter so many things on a daily. Keeping yourself sane amid these difficulties can be challenging. Nevertheless, giving up should not be an option. Let us reach out to all those in need, to let them know, they are not alone. It is time we change for better.
This time, let us be there for each other more often, support one another and help them grow stronger. Not just for others, but for ourselves. Together, we can make life easy.
