A 21 Year old student from West Bengal’s Nadai District commits suicide by hanging himself of the ceiling fan for not being able to play PUBG, police said on Sunday.
The Student goes by the name Pritam Halder was an ITI aspirant living in his house in Purba Lalpur in Chakdaha Police station area they said.
His mother Ratna said,” After having the breakfast on the Friday morning Pritam went to his room. When i went to call him for lunch the room was locked from inside. After repeated banging when he dis not open the door, I called the neighbours. They broke into the room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan”.
Police said that they have registered the care of unnatural death.
Ratna his mother claimed that he was frustrated For not being able to play PUBG.
His mother further told,” He would Play it at night. I think he died by suicide as he was not being able to play PUBG anymore.”
Police said that after talking to the family members, they believe that Pritam killed himself for not being able to play mobile game which was blocked by the government on Wednesday.
