Gadget Insights: Broadband service provider ACT’s HomeCam Security surveillance camera has been launched in India to offer security assistance to consumers. The surveillance camera has been made by ACT in collaboration with wi-fi modem makers TP Link. The product is simple, compact and easy to install. Here is what you should know about the product.

ACT HomeCam Security Camera is available for Rs. 2,249 per unit and is only compatible with ACT broadband networks. Registered ACT users can buy the product by logging in to ACT’s website with their registered number. The product is available for a monthly subscription of Rs. 200 and with a security deposit of Rs.500.
The surveillance camera works on ACT’s wireless network and can be accessed through TP-Link’s Tapo app available on Android and Apple Store. Users can connect as many units of cameras to their ACT network and can access them all through the app. Also, multiple users can view the live streaming.

It has 2MP HD camera with 1080P recording feature. It is capable of 110-degree wide angle view and is equipped with a Night Vision Infrared Lens with a view clarity of 30-feet, motion detection and alarm functions to alert the incidence of unexpected accidents. It also has a microSD slot that supports 128GB of footage over 24 days.
It supports two-way talking (View, listen and talk) and with a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) feature. The camera is capable of 360-degree rotation and 110-degree wide angle view. The setup of the camera can be done through the Tapo app and multiple camera footages can also be accessed through the app.
