Users using Airtel 2G Mobile Services will be able to buy 4G smartphone for themselves through a loan given by Airtel. For this, they will have to pay down-payment and they will get a handset with a special Airtel tariff plan.

In fact, Airtel has partnered with IDFC Bank for this loan offer. Under this partnership, loans will be given to eligible 2G customers who need 4G and 5G mobile handsets and they are active on Airtel’s network for at least 60 days.

Under this offer, Airtel’s lending partner will have to pay a total down payment of Rs.3,259 as per the EMI of Rs.603 per month. The loan period will be for 10 months i.e. the customer has to pay a total of Rs.9,289.

Telecom company Airtel says that the total open market price will be Rs.9,735, with a device price of Rs.6,800. With this, Airtel’s 28-day bundle pack will be available, which costs Rs.249. This pack offers 1.5 GB of data and unlimited calls. For 330 days a total of Rs.2,935 will have to be paid for this pack i.e. the customers have to pay a total price of Rs.9,735.

Airtel has named this loan offer as ‘Zero Extra Cost’. Under this offer, the money charged from the customer is less according to the market price. You will have to pay a higher price for smartphone and tariffs separately from the market.
