Uttar Pradesh: Police Memorial Day 2020 program has started in Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the venue of the program. The Chief Minister paid tribute while addressing the martyrs.
Chief Minister said, that nine soldiers of Uttar Pradesh Police have been martyred in 2019-20. He assured the martyr’s family that the government stands with them. The total of 26 crores was given to the families of 122 martyrs.
The Chief Minister said that in the Bikru case, 1 crore rupees were given to the martyred police personnel instead of 50 lakhs. Various medals were awarded on 26th January and 15th August to boost morale.

During this time, CM Yogi counted the work done for the police. He said that there is zero tolerance towards the culprits, 125 criminals were killed in the encounter, while 2,607 were injured.
