New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement for Delhiites.
Arvind Kejriwal said, now in Delhi there will be 24 hours electricity as well as water will be supplied.
He said that due to the amount of water available for Delhi right now, every Delhiites can get an average of 176 liters of water every day. But they do not get that much so ‘where is this water going? It is stolen, it is leaking or it is not managed properly.
To overcome these problems, the government has decided to appoint a consultant. The advisor will suggest what should be done to deliver water to every household 24 hours.
Cm said through a virtual press conference, It has also been decided to bring state-of-the-art technology for water management. That is, the centralized system will be implemented in place of the old pipeline.
This system is place at some places in Delhi, but now it will be installed everywhere.
Centralized system allows the employee to sit in the office and close the water from one pipe and open the other pipe. All this will be possible with the remote control system.
The Chief Minister also said that, Negotiations are also going on with the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh to get more water for Delhi. He said that right amount of water is available with Delhi right now, but emphasis is being given to increase its quantity further.
