Coronavirus cases cross 39 lakh-mark in India


New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry data on Friday morning revealed that a spike of 83,341 cases has actually crossed India’s coronavirus tally previous 39-lakh mark. Now the total number of infected within the country became 39,36,748 including 8,31,124 active cases. The death toll also raised to 68,472 with 1,096 more fatalities.

On Thursday, Union Health Ministry data revealed a record spike of 83,883 cases, which was the highest single-day jump in Covid infections reported by any country since the beginning of the pandemic.

While the Ministry of Education officials said more than 82 percent candidate appeared for the JEE mains on the third day on September 3rd . Comparing to the day one of the entrance for engineering on Wednesday and Thursday witnessed better attendance.

According Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) a total of 4,66,79,145 samples tested up to 3 September 2020. “From these, 11,69,765 samples were tested on Wednesday”, said ICMR in a tweet.
