New Delhi: The total Coronavirus caseload in India is 3, 58, 692, and the number of people recovered is 6, 53, 750 which exceeds the number of active cases by 2, 95, 058. With around 18, 000 people recovering in 24 hours and the recovery rate is 63% said the Union Health Ministry on Saturday.
It said that the proactive pragmatic and timely strategies initiated by the central government and effectively implemented by the states and Union Territories for the management of coronavirus infection and the hospital infrastructure expansion ensured that the Coronavirus caseload remains manageable. The ministry also said that till now a total of 1, 34, 33, 742 swab samples have been tested of which 3, 62, 023 were carried out on Friday raising the number of tests per million 9734.

It added that the latest testing strategy of the Indian council of medical Research allows all registered medical doctors to recommend testing. Number of samples tested have surged because of the contributions of RT-PCR and rapid antigen point of care tests boosted by TruNat and CBNAAT.
