1. Kachori – This is one of the most famous hotel foods in India. In Rajasthan, you will get different types in Kachori. Spicy Pyaaj Kachori and Daal Kachori are common everywhere.  Garnished with Daal, Chutneys and Dahi make them tastier. Have you heard of Mawa Kachoris which are sweet in taste? Mawa Kachoris are served hot with dry fruits and Mawa. This awesome food makes your morning good.

2. Chhole-Bhatura – This is famous street food for dinner or lunch. Oily and spicy Chhola is a delicious and tasty combination of Bhatura. Soft Bhatura with Chhola added green vegetables, onion, spices will make your tummy full. After eating this dish, you will feel like taking a nap.

3. Balushahi and Ghevar – In Rajasthan, you can’t finish lunch or dinner without having a sweet dish on your plate. For sweet lovers, Ghevar is a perfect choice. This sweet is available in different shapes and sizes. Remember Doughnuts, don’t confuse Doughnuts with Balushahi. Balushahi is a soft and sweet dish that looks like Doughnuts but doesn’t have holes.

4. Badam, Gajar and Moong ki Daal ka Halwa – In winters, this is made frequently in every house. They are very nutritious and good for health. They are sweet in taste and you can’t stop licking your fingers. They are made in ghee and added dry fruits make them more delicious. Don’t forget that ‘Seero’ is Rajasthani word for Halwa.

5. Rajasthani snacks – Remember Bikaneri Bhujia and other snacks available in every general stores and malls. Gathiya, Sev, Gathari, Shakkar Paada are all snacks you can make at home hassle free. All these namkeens are more enjoyable while watching movies and web series, reading books or novels, listening to music, etc.

In Rajasthan most of the people are vegetarian. In a survey, more than 70% of vegetarian people of India reside in Rajasthan only. Many other dishes like Dal-Bati churma, Kadhi, Dal Tadka, Pyaaz Paneer, Bajra Roti we can’t forget.
