Wall Of Thoughts: E-Learning Pros and Challenges – Learning in a classroom is more personal and interactive, but there are a lot of benefits of enrolling in an online course, and most of it in terms of convenience and affordability.

E-learning is an education innovation that has transformed the use of traditional way of modern technology such as: video, computer, CDROM, internet, internet satellite, etc. to deliver content of learning through electronic equipment in various leaning environment ranging from learning with the teacher in the classroom using computer, web-based learning and distant learning.
The E-learning and E-learning technologies are gradually gaining global acceptance by Information Communication Technology experts, education managers, institutions, corporate bodies, students and other stakeholders in education industry.

Students were not able to attend schools and colleges due to any reason they didn’t stop learning and that was possible due to the e-learning opportunity. The E-learning is less absenteeism because it gave the opportunity for students who miss any class to access the lessons easily anytime from the comfort of their home and even repeat it more than once to understand it.
Moreover, E-learning is very efficient way to deliver the lessons because teachers are able to explain and demonstrate the lessons through using videos, sharing of resource links, serving assessment tests that can be done at the click of a button and other technologies so that students can understand the concept obviously.

Furthermore, the e-learning is affordable compared to physical learning method because it eliminates two major cost points which are transportation and real estate because the lessons are available online and students can access several times as they want.
It also encourages shy students to forthcoming with questions and participation in the online classes compared with the live classes. And that could be due to the comfortable home environment. Like any other education solution, e-learning does have some potential challenges. However, if you’re aware of them you can avoid them. The E-learning may not create as much seriousness as classroom learning, whereas sitting in front of a computer or smartphone to listen for classes is boring.

Not only that, but also if the devices that are being used have other application such as: YouTube on that time students will became distracted. So teachers became more imperative to grab attention for these students due to boredom and lack of face to face interaction. Teachers should invest more time in developing their technology skills in order to be technology friendly which is not always easy and these investment will help in conducting their online class smoothly.
Even if we are in the 21 century, some people don’t have internet connection facility, the e-learning deepens the inequality between rich and poor. Not only that, but also some parents are not technologically educated to assist their children in studying or if they face any issue.

In conclusion, the E-learning is not intended to replace conventional methods and learning in classroom. Its aim is to create an augmented learning environment where technology is used to deliver a combined range of teaching and learning techniques aimed at maximizing the individual’s participation and achieving the goals in the learning and teaching process as a greener world. The E-learning has become more popular all over the world which offers students to go to colleges and offers a good career. E-learning should be effective to provide good results of learning to a learner which is main function of an e-learning system.
