India News: As COVID-19 cases are back on a surge in Tamil Nadu and Kerala as well, Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore district administration has made it compulsory for travelers and visitors visiting Coimbatore or other districts in Tamil Nadu to carry e-pass and COVID-19 certificate with them.

Police, Revenue and Health Departments respectively have setup nearly 13 check posts along the TN-Kerala border, at Walayar, Velanthavalam, Anaimalai, Anaikatti, Valparai in Pollachi and across other points in the district. People coming from Palakkad have to get down at Walayar and register their entry into the state priorly.
The Railway Police Forces at Coimbatore’s major railway stations are also alerted to keep a check on trains coming from Kerala. As Coimbatore itself is witnessing a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in the past weeks and as testing has been increased, the number of positive cases is also increasing.

63 people have been tested positive on Wednesday taking the total to 56,246.
