Mumbai: A fire struck at the famous Crawford market, situated few meters away from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, Mumbai on Thursday evening. Crawford market is a one stop destination for buying vegetables, fruits, poultry, and imported food products.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said, the fire brigade received a call about the glaze at 6.15 pm, immediately 6 fire engines and 5 jumbo tankers rushed to the spot.
“It is a level two fire and fire engines have been rushed to the spot,” the official said. “No injuries have been reported in the glaze,” he added.
The cause of the fire is not known yet.
