New Delhi: On Tuesday, E – commerce giant Flipkart launched it hyper-local services ‘Flipkart Quick’ which assures 90 minutes delivery of products from local Flipkart hubs.
Improving it’s technological capabilities and supply chain infrastructure, Flipkart Quick will ensue customers with a handpicked array of more than 2,000 products in categories varying from groceries, dairy and meat products, mobiles, electronics accessories, stationery items and home accessories.
Customers can either select a slot of delivery within 90 minutes or book a 2 – hour slot as per their comfort. Customers can place orders anytime during the day, and get their orders delivered between 6.00 am to midnight, by paying a minimum delivery fee of ₹29.
Flipkart Quick will begin it’s services in specific areas of Bengaluru, including Whitefield, Panathur, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Banashankari, KR Puram and Indiranagar, and later expand its service to other cities.
“With Flipkart Quick – our Hyper-local capability, we have the potential to bring together the whole network of neighborhood Kirana stores onto our platform with just a click,” Sandeep Karwa, Vice-President, Flipkart, said in a statement.
“In fact, Indian families are so comfortable with what we call the ‘hyperlocal context’, that there is a tendency to develop deep, familial ties with vendors, shopkeepers and service providers – now with the convenience of e-commerce,” he added.
