Google could soon can turn YouTube beyond just videos and ads, in addition to showing product adverts and directing users to other e-commerce Website, now YouTube might become a shopping site so that user can shop products directly from it.

The Bloomberg reported that to tag and track products in videos, Google has been discussed with various YouTubers. Google also decided to link its analytics and shopping tools with the products.
When the YouTube videos will become a source of shopping, it will help users to view, click, and buy the listed products through YouTube’s website or app.
A YouTube spokesperson has confirmed that YouTube is soon going to test the feature with some YouTube channels as they are planning to introduce the in-app shopping ability.
The full control over the products which is being displayed for sale will be given to the YouTube creators. However, more information regarding this hasn’t been revealed yet.

Shopping via YouTube is more likely to be Google Shopping. Google Shopping is a shopfront for both online and offline stores allow them to list their products and help users to find them and shop.
After becoming a shopping place YouTube has to compete with e-commerce giants such as Amazon, Flipkart and even Facebook and Instagram, which included the ability to shop a long time ago. Instead of just listing other shopping portals in the form of ads, this will make Google shopping destination, from where users can shop easily.
