Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed sentenced to 10 years of jail by Pakistani court. In Lahore itself, the ATC sentenced four more people along with Hafiz in two cases, an official said.
Among them, two of Hafiz’s companions, named Yahya Mujahid and Iqbal, were sentenced to ten and a half years. On the other hand, Hafiz’s relative Abdul Rahman Makki was sentenced for a total of 6 months and the court was also sentenced to confiscate Hafiz’s property and pay Rs.10,000.
At the same time, Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Court sentenced Saeed’s spokesman for a total of 32 years. Hence, he has been convicted in Terror Finding cases. On the other hand, the court also punished two other people found from Jamaat ud-Dawa. In which Saeed’s nephew who is a professor, the name Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki was also found.
The conspiracy of 2008 Mumbai attack was hatched in Pakistan under Saeed’s leadership. In the same attack, 10 terrorists killed 166 people including 6 Americans in Mumbai and hundreds of people were injured. Due to this, Hafiz was converted into a global terrorist. He had a reward of around Rs.74 crore on his head.
