Whereas the orders are administrative and the police department enforces them. Whereas, when the DGP and Home Secretary went to the spot, DGP Hitesh Awasthi had said that the DM had orders.

Overall, Hathras case has given IAS and IPS has created a rift between the associations.

On the basis of preliminary inquiry report, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to take action against the existing SP, DSP, Inspector and some others after which both SP and DSP were also suspended.

The SIT report accused Hathras Superintendent of Police Vikrant Veer of negligence.

Apart from this, orders were also given to conduct narco polygraph test of all. In which the victim’s family is also involved with the police, although the victim’s family has opposed the narco test.

At the same time, District Magistrate Praveen Kumar is also under questions in Hathras incident. The victim’s family has accused the DM of threatening and pressurizing them and also demanded the DM’s removal. But so far no action has been taken regarding DM.

However, the CBI will now investigate the Hathras incident. However, the victim’s family says they want a judicial inquiry. The victim’s brother said, ‘We want a judicial inquiry, not a CBI. We want the investigation under the supervision of a Supreme Court judge.’
