Imran Khan government received ultimatum of 31st January. The opposition pressured that they should remove their government by 31st January and if they do not do so, they will have a big movements against him. Maulana Fazlur Rahman, has said that we want to make it clear to the government that they should resign by 31st January.
Rahman said this in the presence of PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and other opposition leaders in Lahore.
Rahman said that if the Imran government did not accept the demand of the opposition, then the opposition would be bound for the long march. He said that the announcement of the long march would be decided after the meeting of the opposition. He said that the meeting would be held in Islamabad on 1st February.
After this, the date of the long march will be announced. Rahman also said that now we will not allow illegitimate government to govern. Only after it is finished will we breathe peacefully.
The next general elections in Pakistan will be held in the year 2023, but the opposition is trying to remove the elected government headed by Imran. Meanwhile, a rally was held in Pakistan’s northeastern city of Lahore in support of the opposition despite the Coronavirus pandemic.
