New Delhi: In the wake of the ongoing conversation between India and China, the Indian Army is centralizing on finger areas and other friction points in Eastern Ladakh probing complete disengagement by the People’s Liberation Army.
A meeting between troop commanders of India and China, including Lt Gen Harinder Singh and Maj Gen Lin Lin is going on at Moldo on the Chinese side of line of actual control to settle disengagement.
“The talks are being conducted only on disengagement by the Chinese side from finger areas and the friction points in the Eastern Ladakh area. Depsang plains are not on agenda for the meeting,” said government sources.
India is clear that disengagement should be prior before before the two sides discuss larger issues of de-escalating from front and depth areas of LAC.
