MNM issues its first election manifesto; mentions remuneration for home makers

Also, he mentioned of help women develop and learn special relevant skills of time that helps women earn money as much Rs.10,000 – Rs.15, 000 to financially sustain themselves independently. Kamal Haasan was the first of his kind to have come up with such an idea to provide remunerations to homemakers’ valuable labour at homes.

Though not same, other parties like DMK and ADMK promised allowances to women of amount Rs.1000 to Rs.1500 and even many freebies to voters. This was criticized by many political experts in Tamil Nadu, as it might burn a hole in the state’s treasury to give monthly allowances as this much without any necessity.

Kamal Haasan also vowed that he will not indulge in any offering of unnecessary freebies goods to voters to pull them by his side. Kamal Haasan said that his idea is not to give away such unnecessary handouts, but to help people learn skills that enables them to provide themselves and protecting the treasury from damage.

He also mentioned the state of electricity and distribution companies running on losses. And, he spoke of making transportation department profitable by making employees “shareholders”.
