Like Miss World or Miss Universe and other well-known global beauty pageant competitions, Mrs World is a global beauty pageant tournament as well, especially for married women only. The tournament is conducted annually by a California-based company where winners of national tournaments will come forward to participate in a global tournament.

Carolina Jurie was one such title winner of Mrs World from 2019. So, I’m taking my first step saying that the crown goes to the first runner-up.” But it was later confirmed that de-Silva was just separated from her husband and not divorced yet, making her eligible for the title still.

Puspika de-Silva was allegedly hurt and has been sent to the hospital. She said that she was hurt by what happened on stage at Nelum Pokuna Theatre. She decried over the actions of Jurie, saying that true queens do not snatch crowns of other queens and she has forgiven those were involved. Mrs World Inc also reviewed the situation and issued statement.
