This is a Historic Launch by NASA and SpaceX because, after almost 9 years, astronauts are being sent into space.
The last Time NASA sent astronaut was in the year 2011.
As the final flight test for SpaceX, this mission will validate the company’s crew transportation system, including the launch pad, rocket, spacecraft, and operational capabilities. This also will be the first time NASA astronauts will test the spacecraft systems in orbit.
Initially, the Launch was Scheduled at 4:33 p.m. EDT May 27, lifting off on a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A in Florida but due to Unfavorable Climatic Conditions the Mission was Canceled.
