Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne told the media that he has no reliable information on Choksi’s whereabouts. The Prime Minister in his parliament said in a statement that the country’s authorities will be collaborating with Indian government, governments of neighboring countries as well as international police in tracking Choksi.
Apparently, the business man has two cases against him for extradition and revocation of citizenship in the country as well, for which he had sought a celebrated lawyer from London to represent his case, that showed his willingness to stay in the country and contest his cases.
Browne said that nobody did contemplate anything that the fugitive businessman would flee the country and it is very likely that he is still there. The only option left was to get out through a boat. Choksi was last seen in a car on Sunday and the police recovered the car but not with Choksi in it.
