Gadget Insights: OnePlus new smart watch was released on Wednesday in a virtual event along with its new OnePlus 9 series smartphone. The OnePlus smart watch costs Rs.14,999/- in India. The watch comes with 46mm round dial, 2.5D curved glass and an AMOLED display. It has 4 GB RAM and an RTOS based OS. It has been water and dust resistance rating of 5ATM and IP68.

It comes with a stainless-steel body. The watch straps are made of Fluor elastomer material in a standard edition of watch and with a leather made strap in a cobalt premium edition. The watch containers also differ with the standard or Cobalt edition, key differences being the Midnight Blue and Midnight Black colours.
With regards to the features of the watch, it comes with nearly 110 different workout modes that can track users’ data like calories burned and energy spent in cycling, running, walking, lifting, swimming, sports like badminton, cricket and football. It has a Spo2 monitoring device, stress detectors and breath monitors.
The new addition will be the oxygen saturation level monitor, which has become a standard medical monitoring equipment in the pandemic. The OnePlus watch being coupled with the OnePlus smartphones can be used to view gallery from the phone, attend calls and play music from mobile. The OnePlus Watch, Mobile and TV are compatible together.
The watch can automatically control volumes of OnePlus TV if the user is in a call and will automatically turn off TV by detecting if the user is asleep.
