New Delhi: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched “Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan” as an initiative to provide employment opportunities to the migrant laborer’s who returned home amid the pandemic.
The Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan scheme is estimated worth RS. 50,000 Crore. The scheme was launched in Bihari’s Telihar village via video conferencing in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other officials.

“My laborer friends, the country understands your emotions & your needs. ‘Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan’ starting from Khagaria, Bihar is a major tool to fulfil this need & emotion,” said PM Modi. “It is an endeavor that workers will get jobs near home; till now you were developing cities, now you will help your village,” he added.
