PM Narendra Modi Pays tribute to Arun Jaitley


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid a beautiful tribute to senior BJP leader and his late Cabinet Colleague on the first death anniversary of former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Remembering his longtime companion PM shared a video of the remarks he made during a condolence meeting held for remembering Jaitley last year.

“On this day, last year, we lost Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. I miss my friend a lot. Arun Ji diligently served India. His wit, intellect, legal acumen and warm personality were legendary.” He tweeted along with the video.

In the video he shared, PM is heard saying that he hast lost his valuable friend and he regretted not being able for paying his last respect to Jaitley as he was in UAE on a three-nation visit when the news of the former finance minister came.

While Home Minister Amit Shah praised Arun Jaitley that he had no parallels in Indian polity as he was an outstanding politician, prolific orator and a great human being.

Besides PM and HM, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, FM Nirmala Sitaraman, BJP President JP Nadda, BJP Leader Muqtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister Darmendra Pradhan and many other leaders from the ruling party remembered him this morning.
