Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Kamlesh Kadam and five others accused who were arrested in Mumbai for beating a former naval officer have been granted bail.
Actually, 65-year-old officer Madan Sharma, who retired from the Navy, had forwarded a cartoon on social media about Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on which he was severely beaten by Shiv Sena leader Kamlesh Kadam and his colleagues, in which Madan Sharma suffered serious injuries.

In Mumbai’s Samta Nagar police station, an FIR was registered against Kamlesh Kadam and 10 of his colleagues for beating a former naval officer and arrested those who have now come out on bail.
Meanwhile, a video of this incident has also surfaced on Twitter, in which an elderly retired officer can be seen beating up by alleged Shiv Sena workers.
The officer’s daughter, Dr. Sheela Sharma said, “After forwarding messages,he started getting threatening calls by many Shiv Sena activists and they together beat him up badly. After which the police came to our house and took our father with him. We have lodged an FIR.”
Here, on the attack on the former Navy office, BJP leader and former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis attacked the Thackeray government and tweeted, Fadnavis said, ‘Quite sad and surprising. The retired navy officer was beaten up just because he forwarded message to WhatsApp. Please stop Gunda Raj Uddhav ji. We demand stern action and punishment against such goons. ‘
