Pune: Close Shops Before 7 pm or face action


Pune: Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar directed all the shops and markets to open from 9 am to 7 pm, with the ongoing lockdown relaxations.

Jayashree Borade, Assistant Municipal Commissioner of Sinhgad Road Ward Office informed that 12 shops in Ganga Bhagyoday Khau Galli and Manikbagh area, Sinhgad road have remained open after 7 pm and violated the order.

The shop owners had to face under the Sinhgad ward Office disciplinary actions for violating the order and paid a token of RS 800. “We will continue to take strict against any shopkeepers who do not follow the guidelines issued by the PMC.

Our team members are patrolling daily, and it’s a sincere request for all the citizens to follow the protocols issued by the PMC”, Punekarnews.in reported from Jayashree Borade.

It is mandatory for the citizens coming to the shops and markets to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and the shop owners should sanitize the premises from time to time, according to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)’s new norms released.
