Pune: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) stretched the bus services till 10 pm after many raised demands of extending bus timings.

As shops and businesses’ timings have been extended till 9 pm, Pune PMPML has decided to serve their customers till 10 pm from 7 pm.
Everyday, PMPML bus covered around 7000 round trips, with an average of 1,70,000 passengers. However, the passengers’ number has gone up from 165,000 to 1,80,000 in the last two days.

In the last two days the Pune PMPML bus administration has increased the number of buses by 100 with a total of 510 buses on different routes.
“As the shops will be open till 9 pm, passengers need to be served till then. PMPML will also have to expand the service as per the ‘unlock’ phase”, Rajendra Jagtap, chairman and managing director of PMPML said.
