Rajnath Singh Launches Mobile training app for NCC cadets


New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the a mobile training application for National Cadet Corps (NCC) on Thursday that will assist in conducting countrywide online training of the cadets.

“In view of the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, training of NCC (National Cadet Corps) cadets has been affected adversely as it is mostly contact-based training, Since schools and colleges are not likely to open in the near future, a need was felt that training of NCC cadets should be imparted utilizing the digital medium” the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

The mobile training app is named ‘Directorate General National Cadet Corps (DGNCC)’ aimed to provide training materials, syllabus,  training videos,  FAQ to the NCC cadets through one platform.

During the launch of the application Rajnath Singh also interacted with the NCC cadets answered their questions through video conferencing. While addressing the cadets the minister said that app would be useful for digital learning and help overcome the difficulties posed by the pandemic.
