Navi Mumbai: Three – time National Award winner, Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away in Guru Nanak Hospital, Mumbai due to Cardiac Arrest, on Friday.
Saroj Khan’s nephew, Manish Jagwani, told PTI “She passed away due to cardiac arrest at around 2.30 am at the hospital.”
71 year old, Saroj Khan was admitted to the hospital on June 17 after she complained of breathlessness. She had tested negative for the COVID – 19. Her last rites took place on Friday morning in Malad, Mumbai.
Soon after the news of choreographer’s demise broke, many Bollywood celebrities mourned her demise on Twitter.
Akshay Kumar tweeted on Friday, “Woke up to the sad news that legendary choreographer #SarojKhan ji is no more. She made dance look easy almost like anybody can dance, a huge loss for the industry. May her soul rest in peace.”
“Saroj Khan my beloved Masterji. RIP Saroj Khan From music videos to films, we had a long journey together. Now you’ve left me and gone. I will do and make what we spoke about one day, my promise to you,” film maker Kunal Kohli tweeted.
