New Delhi: On Wednesday, Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi wrote to Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, requesting his mediation in discarding the system requiring COVID – 19 patients to visit a government – run center for clinical assessment.
“I had requested Lt Governor (LG) Anil Baijal, to change the rule under which every Covid-19 patient is required to visit a quarantine Centre for assessment. It has been two days, but I haven’t received any reply. This new system has created pressure on administration,” Sisodia said in an online media briefing.
Further, he said, “Today, I have written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting him to do away with this system as it will create chaos.”
“This is not a fight between Amit Shah’s model and Kejriwal’s model. We should implement a system in which people don’t face problems,” he added, later.
Due to the new system, people were facing a lot of problems. It should be discarded immediately. The previous system should be implemented wherein teams of the district administration visited the house of an infected person for clinical assessment, said the Deputy Chief Minister.
