The owner of Reliance Jio , Mukesh Ambani has become the first mobile service provider in the India to cross over 40 crore customers mark.

According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India data, the company added over 35 lakh subscribers in the month of July. Reliance Jio now influences India’s mobile market with the 35.03 percent market share at with 40,08,03,819 subscribers.
The al together telecom subscriber base increased marginally of 116.4 crore in the month of July from 116 crore in June, it said. The mobile phone connections in country increased to 114.4 crore in the month of July from 114 crore in June, with urban and the rural connections standing at the 61.9 crore and 52.1 crore.

BSNL and Airtel added of Rs.32.6 lakh and 3.88 lakh mobile customers, in the month of July. Vodafone and Idea lost their over 37 lakh customers. State-run MTNL also lost 5,457 mobile service customers.
The Fixed-line connections after the several years of increasing margin of 1,98,20,419, with private telecom operators led by the Jio taking the lead.
The mobile segment dominated by the broadband connections to grew by 1.03 per cent to 70.54 crore in Month of July from 69.82 crore in June.
The TRAI report said , the top five service providers inaugurated the 98.91 percent market share of the total broadband subscribers at the end of the month July.
