Navi Mumbai: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s final Autopsy report has been submitted to the Mumbai Police, on Wednesday. According to the report, “the actor died by asphyxia, suffered due to hanging,” thus, ruling out traces of foul play.
On June 14, the actor was found dead, hanging from the ceiling fan in his home in Bandra, leaving the Bollywood industry baffled.
“There were no struggle marks or external injuries on Sushant Singh Rajput’s body. His nails were clean,” the autopsy report noted, stating that it was “a clear case of suicide”. Although, no suicide note has been found.
The final Autopsy report was assessed by a team of five doctors at the Dr. RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital. The initial report, signed by three doctors, too had confirmed that the actor died by asphyxia, suffered due to hanging.
Awaiting the Viscera Report, Mumbai Police have written to the forensic department of Maharashtra, seeking it to speed up the process of viscera report.
“I would urge Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to do the needful by recommending a CBI inquiry. There must be a high-level investigation into the circumstances that drove the young actor to suicide,” said BJP MP and Bhojpuri actor – singer Manoj Tiwari.
