Director K.V Anand has directed multiple Tamil films like Kaappan, Ayan, Maatran in the recent and has been the cinematographer for even Bollywood movies like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Josh, Nayak: The Real Hero, Khakee and others.

In 1994, he was conferred with the National Award as the Best Cinematographer for his work in the Malayalam movie Thenmavin Kombath, with Mohanlal and Shobana starring in the lead roles. Many actors and actresses of the Southern film industry paid their final respects to the filmmaker upon his unexpected demise.

Reportedly, K.V Anand had tested positive for COVID-19.While his wife and daughter as well contracted the coronavirus, at the time he had complained of some chest pain. Doctors say that following the COVID-19, he had suffered a massive heart attack unfortunately that took his life away.

His mortal remains were handed over to the corporation officials and the funeral processions were made constrained and limited. Southern stars like Surya, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Allu Arjun, Rajnikanth, Fahadh Faasil, Tamannah Bhatia paid homage through their social media handles today.
