Chennai Book Fair: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Pazhaniswamy and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam had inaugurated the 44th edition of Annual Book Fairs held YMCA Grounds, Nandanam.
The Annual Chennai Book Fair in Chennai is conducted by Book Publishers and Sellers Association of India which featured 800+ stalls and six lakh titles. The book fair is now being successfully conducted, despite fears and rumours of postponement due to the COVID-19pandemic.
The Book Fair is usually conducted in the second week of January near Pongal Holidays. But as the pandemic hit the book fair was just postponed rather than getting cancelled over all.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam expressed his gratitude in inaugurating the Annual Chennai Book Fair and Welcomed all the book lovers and readers to the Book Fair.
The BAPASI President R.S Shanmugam had tweeted that all precautionary measures to prevent unnecessary contractions of any virus have been taken duly and appropriately. The Book Fair starts from morning 11:00 A.M – 08:00 P.M until March 9, with ceremonious closing at the end.
