Hyderabad: The Telangana government has cancelled theSSC, class 10th examination. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said all class 10th students would be promoted to the next class without any examination, keeping the spread of coronavirus in mind.

“The Chief Minister has decided that all the 10th class students will be promoted to the next class by giving them grades based on their internal assessment marks,” an official press release said.
Chief Minister KCR conducted a high-level review meeting at Pragati Bhavan which was attended, by Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Chief secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, Special Chief Secretary (Education) Ms. Chitra Ramachandran, CMO Principal Secretary Sri S Narsing Rao, Board of Secondary Education Director Sri Satynarayan Reddy, CMO Special Secretary Sri Rajsekhar, OSD Sri Deshapathy Srinivas, Secretary Sri Bhoopal Reddy and others. The meeting discussed different aspects of the exam management.
After deliberation on the issue, and considering to re-postpone the exams, state decided to call of the exams.
There are 5.34 lakh SSC students in the state. The are six subjects and 11 papers, out of which three examinations pertaining to two subjects were already conducted. At that time the examinations were postponed due to the high court orders.
