1.] BJP swayed Pilot, conspires to collapse govt in Rajasthan: Congress
While declaring the decision to remove Sachin Pilot as the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, on Tuesday, State PCC chief, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, “I regret that Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by BJP’s plot.” “They are now conspiring to topple the Congress government elected by 8 crore people of Rajasthan. It is unacceptable,” he further said. (ANI)
2.] Govind Singh Dotasra replaces Sachin Pilot as new Congress president in Rajasthan
On Tuesday, Govind Singh Dotasra, Education Minister of Rajasthan was declared as the new chief of Congress in Rajasthan replacing Sachin Pilot, Randeep Singh Surjewala said. The party also removed Mukesh Bhakar and Rakesh Pareek as presidents of Youth Congress and Sewa Dal. The announcements came after Congress Legislature Party meeting held in Jaipur. (ANI)
3.] Ambani surpasses Larry Page, becomes world’s 6th richest man

On Tuesday, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries has surpassed Larry Page, the Co – founder of Google to become the world’s sixth richest man, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. With this, Ambani’s net worth is about $72.4 billion after adding nearly $2.2 billion to his wealth on Monday. Shares of Reliance have risen 120% since a low in March as its digital unit Jio got $16 billion in investments. (Bloomberg’s index)
4.] Delhi University likely to hold final year exams from August 10

Delhi University, on Tuesday, informed the High Court that it will begin its final year open book examination from August 10 and it will be completed by August 31. Previously, Delhi University had told the court that the exams would be conducted from August 17 to September 8. Changes was made after UGC revised its guidelines and decided that final year exams should be conducted by September end. (PTI)
5.] US: Democratic and Republican parties warn staff not to use TikTok

The two majoritarian parties in the U.S., the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, on Tuesday, warned their staff not to use TikTok app on their personal devices ensuring security measures. “If you are using TikTok for campaign work, we recommend using a separate phone and account,” a Democratic memo said. 6.] Capital education model makes history, 98% govt school students pass CBSE Class 12: CM
On Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi said that Delhi city’s education model has made a history with 98 percent students in govt. schools passing CBSE Class 12 exams. Previous year, the pass percentage of govt. schools was 94.2 percent. This is also the fifth consecutive year that Delhi’s govt. schools transcend the private schools in pass percentage. (Twitter)
7.] Bihar to impose lockdown from July 16 to 31 to curb spread of COVID-19
On Tuesday, Sushil Kumar Modi, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar announced that the lockdown will be imposed in the state from July 16 to July 31 to curb the spread of coronavirus. All schools, colleges, shops, malls, religious places will remain closed, while essential services will be excused. New guidelines have been released, said Sushil. (ANI)
8.] Patanjali’s profit rises 39% in 2019 20, says Brickworks Ratings

Patanjali Ayurved’s revenue surged 6 percent to ₹9,024.2 crore while profit climbed 39 percent to ₹485 crore in the year 2019 – 20, according to Brickworks Ratings. According to the rating agency, Patanjali’s sales were not affected during lockdown in first quarter as its products were categorized as essentials goods. “The company reported high sales during Q1 FY21 due to aggressive buying by consumers,” Brickworks added. 9.] IAS officer shares pictures of CBSE 12th result on Twitter, says scored 24 in Chemistry
On Tuesday, IPS officer Nitin Sangwan, Deputy Municipal Commissioner at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, shared a picture of his Class 12th CBSE result on Twitter, making a note that life is beyond the board exam results. “In my 12th exams, I got 24 marks in Chemistry [theory]- just 1 mark above passing marks. But that didn’t decide what I wanted from my life,” Sangwan said. (Twitter)
10.] Gang smuggles 150kg gold in 10 months, forges UAE emblem: NIA Reports
The gang involved in smuggling gold, brought in 150 kg of the yellow metal since September 2019, the National Investigation Agency reportedly found in its investigation. The accused forged the UAE Consulate General’s emblem to send the consignments. The smuggling was carried forward for terror activities and not for jewelers, NIA told the court.
