Like every year, this time Diwali is slightly different, this time on the same day i.e. November 14th, it is Narak Chaturdashi i.e. we have Choti Diwali and Badi Diwali on same day.
The festival of Diwali is celebrated from Trayodashi of Kartik month to Bhai dooj. But this time, Badi Diwali and Choti Diwali, is on the same day. Actually, the Thrayodashi of Kartik month is on 13th November this year and choti and badi Diwali is on 14th November.
Govardhan Puja will be held on 15th November and Bhai Dooj will be celebrated on 16th November.
This time, Narak Chaturdashi will be on November 14th till 02:18 pm in the afternoon. After this Amavasya Tithi will start.
The Amavasya Tithi will start from 14th November from 2:17pm and will continue till 10:36am on November 15th the next day. In such a situation, Diwali will be celebrated on 14th November.
Since Deepavali occurs on the night of Amavasya Tithi and Lakshmi Pujan on the evening of Amavasya, Mahalakshmi Pujan will be done on November 14th itself. On the next day, on November 15th till 10.00 am Amavasya will remain. Apart from this, Dhanteras Trayodashi date is starting from 09:30 pm on 12th November 2020 and will remain till 13th November.
