Gadget Insights: Microblogging and Social Networking service Twitter is working on a `big overhaul` of its TweetDeck platform, lets users arrange lists and feeds into easy-to-read vertical rows. The product Chief Kayvon Beykapour says that they will inform users and know more about the updates on TweetDeck later this year.
TweetDeck is a Social Media Management Application that allows users to monitor, follow multiple Twitter users at a single time. Developed as an independent app at the beginning, the app was acquired by Twitter in 2011 to merge with Twitter’s interface. Since its acquisition, TweetDeck has not gone through any major updates yet.
Most of TweetDeck’s original features were taken by Twitter and applied in its main platform. TweetDeck has remained largely static and has not received much attention from the public. In an interview the online Tech-website The Verge, the product chief Kayvon Beykapour told that TweetDeck has not been showed much love from Twitter.
He said that, since the acquisition the gap between TweetDeck’s developers and Twitter has remained wide and nobody has ever tried to bridge the gap between them and the developers. Due to lot of prioritization and certain missteps taken in the past has led to this situation with TweetDeck.
Twitter is busy trying to earn back the trust of its developers and they are about to invest a lot in them. If Twitter is where it is today online and, in the society, the credits go to developers says Chief Beykapour.
