American scientists have identified 24 new planets outside the solar system, which may be more suitable for life than the Earth.
According to the study published in the journal Astrobiology, these planets can be much older, larger, slightly warmer and water-rich than the Earth. These planets can be excellent for humans to live.
At the same time, researchers from the Washington State University (WSU) in the US said, “These planets orbit their stars slower than the planets in the Solar System. So life here can be easier”.
He said that all these planets are 100 light years away from Earth. “We can learn more about these planets through the next generation of other telescopes, including NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope,” says Dirk Schulze-Makuch, professor at WSU and the Technical University of Ballon.
He said that we have to focus on some planets that have the most promising conditions for complex life. However, we have to be careful in searching for another Earth, because there may also exist planets in the universe that are more suitable for us than the Earth.
