The trailer that released on May 19th, had featured a new adversary that Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee), named “Raji” played by Samantha Akkineni who supposedly seems like a rebel from Tamil Nadu or Sri Lanka.

Seeman, leader of the Tamil Nadu based political party Naam Thamizhar Katchi launched an offensive against the trailer, series, its creators and even the actors for making a film that allegedly portrays Tamil people in a bad light and more importantly portraying LTTE as a terrorist group.
The political leader tweeted from his official Twitter handle warning with a two-page notice to boycott the film series fully, else to face severe consequences.
The two-page condemnation notice against the film series said that “The premise of creation which was originally in Hindi is now taken to Chennai, portraying its Eelam woman as a rebel with similarities to the LTTE and falsely linking with Pakistan’s ISI through a particular dialogue.”
“Despite losing over 2,00,000 lives of Tamilians to the Sinhala nationalism of Sri Lanka and demanding justice only through democratic and judicial means around the world, the creators choosing to portray Tamilians as extremists is highly condemnable.”
