Gadget Insights: Zebronics releases its first Alexa-enabled Smart Speaker, named Zebronics Zeb Smart Bot. The device will be the first release of a smart speaker by Zebronics.
The speaker will be Alexa-enabled, with a 360-degree IR blaster capable of controlling IR supported devices like TVs, Surround speaker systems and even Air Conditioners.
It is also equipped with a dual far-field microphone for better voice reception. The design is simple and similar very much to that Amazon’s Echo series Smart Speakers. With a Volume Up and Down buttons on the sides and Mute, Play/pause buttons on the top and bottom, with an action button in the centre.

Zebronics Zeb-Smart Bot can be setup, configured and connected to the Internet using the Zeb-Home app – available for both Android and iOS – and Amazon Alexa apps. If you have the experience previously of using Amazon Alexa app, then this will be similar to that as well. The Zeb Home app will enable users to explore various features of the smart speaker.
The Zeb Home app also enables you to control the speaker with a remote. Through the Zeb Home app, you can add various IR enabled devices in your home to be controlled by Alexa’s Voice commands. The smart speaker can also be used as your normal Bluetooth speaker as well. Just ask Alexa to enable Bluetooth on Zeb Smart Bot and connect to the device from your phone.

The smart speaker has an output of 5W (RMS), with a 3.81cm driver and 4-ohm impedance. The Zebronics Zeb-Smart Bot offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity, has a frequency range of 150Hz to 20kHz, and weighs 388 gms. It also features a microphone off button, to help users protect their privacy.
